With Famly since
Here at Famly we love to come and see our customers in their settings, to hear about how they’re using our Early Childhood Platform.
In May 2025, we travelled to London to meet Ciara Reilly, People and Quality Manager at Kido, and Prakarsh Kaur Gujra, manager of Kido’s Clerkenwell setting. Ciara and Prakarsh told us all about their passion for supporting their teams of educators to do the best for the children they care for every day and how Famly supports them to do so.

Who are Kido?
Kido International are an international network of schools in the USA, UK, India and China. In the UK, they have 19 Early Years settings across Greater London.
“Kido is very much like a family. Regardless of who comes in, whether they're internal, external, we welcome everybody in. Kido has been phenomenal in terms of my journey. When I joined a year and a half ago I started as a field based people officer and they push you to thrive. If they see that you have areas of strength, they really push you to strive for greatness in that area. They just provide so many opportunities for everybody. They have been phenomenal with particularly apprentices.”

Famly enables educators to learn and improve

Famly for the children
Famly isn’t just about connecting the adults around a child - the children understand and embrace Famly too. Educators encourage children to communicate with their parents and carers via the app, supporting an open flow of information and reducing separation anxiety for children and parents alike.
“We have children settling in, and we can show them a picture of their mum and dad. ‘Hey Mum, can you send me a silly picture?’ and they do it. The parents are amazing, and the children know, ‘actually Mummy's just on the iPad. We can just text them.’ They actually say, ‘Can we text Mummy? Can we get a picture?’ The children know what the app does for them as well.”

Famly creates more time with the children
Famly’s Early Childhood platform streamlines all the necessary admin, allowing educators to spend more time with children. It provides easy oversight of room planning, staffing, and child activities. Everything that used to take hours on paper, or had you logging into multiple different apps, can now all be done quickly and easily on Famly.
“It means everything because you're actually with the children. I think you get managers who love a little bit of admin, but that's not me. It's all about actually being on the floor, knowing your children and being present. It really, really does enable me to spend time with my children. That's my favourite part of the day.”
